Looking up into the tops of some redwoods on the way to the creek below the ranch house, we can see the clean blue sky of early summer.  the deep shade of the redwoods and their refreshing smell are inspiring and fill us with a reeling of our own small size.

Inside the grove are small areas which resemble rooms, perfect atmosphere for contemplation and meditation.  further down the hill are the true giants, along with incredible views of cliffs and deep canyons above the rushing waters of Mill Creek.

After a hike like this arriving back at the top of the hill gives a feeling of accomplishment that is hard to beat.  Food and water hold fresh delights and hopping into a hot shower is going to feel great!
